Mengyeu - I am an international student from China. After finishing undergraduate study at UC Davis, I am attending veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. Before college, I thought I was going to focus only on small animals because that is what most veterinarians do in China. However, studying in the US has completely opened my eye to the great number of things a veterinarian could do. For the 4 years at Davis, in addition to shadowing at a small clinic for 2 years and working on a feline study for the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, I interned at a marine lab for an ecology research, shadowed at the UC Davis large animal hospital and China Agricultural University small animal hospital, volunteered at the Sacramento Zoo as a keeper aide, spent time as a curator intern at the Museum of Wildlife and Fish Biology and learned animal husbandry at a Nigerian goat farm. I utterly enjoyed working with all species. For my current interests, I want to work with small animals, equine and aquatic/marine animals.
When I am not a veterinary student, I love exploring the cities and nature with friends, watching movies and spending all day at home with my two poodles and family. I have worked for the Pet Trackers since October 2016 and enjoyed meeting all owners and angels!
Rebecca - has been with Pet Trackers since 2016. She has a 2 year old, adopted cat named Sage, who loves to sit atop her cat tree and swat toy mice out of the air. She also has a 13 year old, deaf pug named Reggie, who enjoys short walks and then long rides in his wagon so he can explore his neighborhood even with his bad hips. She didn't have any pets growing up, and only has room for the two at home right now, so she uses pet sitting to care for and spoil even more animals!
